Alana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University. After receiving her degree, she was immediately offered a position in the Undergraduate Admissions Office at LMU. Alana was responsible for processing undergraduate admission applications and meeting with prospective students and families regarding the admission process. After gaining experience in admissions, Alana was promoted to the position of Financial Aid Counselor and was subsequently offered a position as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Although Alana thoroughly enjoyed her time working in higher education, her ultimate goal was to work with students on a more personal level in the college admissions process.
Alana helps manage ESM's talented team of essay specialists, which works with students to help craft personal statements in each student’s unique voice. She also coaches clients in Southern California.

Alana received her Master of Arts in Counseling, with an emphasis on College Counseling. She has worked as both a high school guidance counselor and a college counselor. She has many years of experience providing test preparation services and assisting students in writing and editing their college essays. Alana is very excited to combine her knowledge of college admissions, financial aid and high school counseling to assist students in gaining admission to the college that is the right fit for them.
