Ron Hyde is Chief Communications Officer for The ESM Group involved in overseeing the company’s video production, social media and global ambassadorship. Ron has carved a lengthy career in TV News as an Anchor/Reporter doing news, weather and sports. He has worked at CNN, PBS, and NBC and CBS affiliates in Sacramento and San Francisco. He is also a contributor for the TV show “California Life” which runs in most California TV markets.
Ron has won awards in broadcasting but he feels the biggest rewards are in giving back and helping those who are just beginning their life journeys. While at KCRA-TV in Sacramento, Ron was instrumental in creating and maintaining “Friday Night Football” which featured more than just football players. It showcased all that is good and positive in the high school communities and this long-running show became “must-see TV” in Northern California. Because of his contributions to high schoolers around the region, Ron is one of only a handful of people to be given a lifetime pass to all sporting events in the Central Valley region.
Ron was a High School All-American in baseball. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and is a graduate of the Mass Media Institute of Stanford University. Ron lives with his wife and three children in the Sacramento area.
